On Friday 29th September Torry Academy held a Macmillan Coffee Morning with a difference.
We set ourselves the challenge of beating the world record for the number of biscuits iced within one hour.
The previous record had been set by a school in the USA. They managed to ice an impressive 1168 biscuits, so setting a new record was obviously going to involve a lot of skill, speed and organisation.
We are delighted and proud to say that we managed to ice a total of 1431 biscuits in the amazing time of 28 mins 24 secs, a NEW WORLD RECORD!
A HUGE congratulations to all involved.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Aitkens Bakery for supplying the biscuits, and to our very own Mrs Lowe and Miss Dye for their outstanding contribution to the organisation of the morning.
